Absinthe jailbreaking tool has been updated by Chronic Dev team to v 2.0.2 to support the new firmware version of iOS 5.1.1 (Build 9B208) for iPhone 4 GSM.

The revision iOS 5.1.1 is currently available only for GSM iPhone 4.

Well, we all know that Chronic DevTeam released another update of their most popular JailBreak tool called Absinthe to untether JailBreak iOS 5.1.1. Just now, they have pushed yet another update of it called ‘Absinthe 2.0.1′ which fixes couple of little bugs. So if you have been facing any issues while trying to JailBreak any of your iDevices, please use the latest version to JailBreak..

For iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, the Chronic Dev team has also released Rocky Racoon 5.1.1 Untether jailbreak on Cydia, which allows users who have a tethered jailbroken iOS device on iOS 5.1.1 to convert it into untethered jailbreak.

These are instructions on how to perform an untethered jailbreak of your iPhone on iOS 5.1.1 using Absinthe for Windows.

Warning:: Before you continue make sure to do a backup of your device in iTunes as you may lose your Camera Roll during this process.

Step One
Download the latest version of Absinthe from here.

Step Two
Extract the downloaded archive.

Absinthe 2.0 has been released to perform an untethered jailbreak of iOS 5.1.1.

Step 1: Connect your iPhone 4S, iPad 2 or iPad 3 to computer and back up your data.
Step 2: Launch Redsn0w 0.9.11b1 and got to Extras>Even more> Restore

The iPhone Dev-Team has released a new version of RedSn0w that can downgrade the iPhone 4S and iPad 2/3 for those with saved SHSH blobs.

Starting with redsn0w version 0.9.11b1, those with newer devices (iPad2, iPad3, and iPhone4S) can join the downgrade fun too! In a radical departure from previous versions of redsn0w, it now directly supports restoring IPSWs to your device. The first use of this new feature implements a hack that allows A5 downgrades without a bootrom-level exploit.
