Redsn0w_0.9.9b1 Released!


As promised MuscleNerd of iPhone-Dev has just released redsn0w 0.9.9b1 with some major improvements. New version of redsn0w, redsn0w 0.9.9 b1 comes with tons of new feature including automatic device detection in DFU mode and now you don’t need to select IPSW manually, it will detect and download required files from Apple servers for you.

What iTunes Error 3194 Mean

Whenever you restore a stock or custom IPSW of any firmware on your iDevice, iTunes request Apple servers to sign the IPSW with the ECID (Exclusive Chip ID) of your iDevice which is called SHSH Blob. As soon as new firmware gets released, Apple stops signing your ECID for old firmwares which result in iTunes 3194 error.

Update #7: Apple updated the iPad1 iOS5b6 IPSW without changing its version number or filename, so we’re releasing redsn0w 0.9.8b7 to handle both the original and changed IPSW. We’ve also added explicit support for a tethered 4.3.5/4.2.10 jailbreak (instead of pointing at the 4.3.4/4.2.9 IPSWs) and fixed a 4.2.10 problem.

Download iTunes 10.5 Beta 7, Xcode 4.2 Developer Preview 7 and Apple TV Software Beta 6

Apple seeded iOS 5 Beta 7 earlier today and with the release of iOS 5 Beta 7 Apple also seeded iTunes 10.5 Beta 7, XCode 4.2 Developers preview 7 and Apple TV Software Beta 6. Apple also released an iTunes update (iTunes 10.5 Beta 6.1) couple of days ago which added the support of iTunes Match. iTunes Match allows you to upload your music library to cloud.

Apple officially announced that iTunes Match won’t allow you to stream music from iCloud Servers.
iTunes 10.5 Beta 7 will be required by people who will manually restore their iOS device to iOS 5 Beta 7.
Remember: iTunes 10.5 Beta 7 won’t allow you to Sync previous versions of iOS 5 Betas.
Also release tonight were updates to XCode 4.2 and Apple TV. XCode 4.2 (Developers Preview 7) carries a build number of 4D177b and is available for both Snow Leopard and the just released OS X Lion.

Apple Releases iOS 5 Beta 7 to Developers

Apple has just seeded iOS 5 beta 7 to developers via OTA. Oddly enough, it is not in the dev center just yet.

No word yet on the changes in the beta, but as always we will keep you updated if we discover anything.
